Here’s a delicious Frankie Basket Recipe — a fun fusion-style snack where mini frankie rolls are arranged in a basket base and topped with chutney, veggies & cheese. Perfect for parties or cravings!


 Frankie Basket Recipe

Ingredients

For the Frankie Rotis:

1 cup wheat flour

½ cup all-purpose flour (optional — makes softer rotis)

Salt to taste

1 tbsp oil

Water (to knead)

For Filling:

2 medium potatoes (boiled & mashed)

½ cup paneer (crumbled)

1 small onion (finely chopped)

½ tsp red chilli powder

½ tsp garam masala

½ tsp chaat masala

¼ tsp turmeric

1 tsp lemon juice

Salt to taste

Coriander leaves (chopped)

Toppings & Garnish:

Sev or crushed nachos

Sweet chutney + Green chutney

Mayonnaise / Cheese sauce (optional)

Grated cheese

Sliced onions, tomatoes, capsicum for crunch

Fresh coriander


 Steps to Prepare

  1. Make the wrappers (mini frankie rotis)
  2. Mix wheat flour, maida, salt & oil.
  3. Add water gradually & knead into a soft dough.
  4. Rest for 10 mins.
  5. Roll into small discs & cook lightly on tawa without browning too much.

  1. Prepare Frankie Filling
  2. In a bowl mix boiled potato + paneer + spices + lemon juice + onions + coriander.
  3. Taste and adjust seasoning.

  1. Assemble Mini Frankies
  2. Place a portion of filling inside each roti, roll tightly.
  3. Secure with toothpicks if needed.

  1. Make the Frankie Basket
  2. Place 4–6 small frankie rolls standing upright in a serving bowl or plate close together like a basket.
  3. Drizzle green chutney, sweet chutney & mayo/cheese sauce over them.
  4. Add veggies, sev, grated cheese & coriander on top for layers and crunch.
