Garlic Shrimp Pasta

Here’s a complete recipe for your Creamy Garlic Shrimp Pasta — rich, flavorful, and ready in under 30 minutes.

🦐 Ingredients

  • 8 oz (225 g) spaghetti or linguine
  • 1 lb (450 g) large shrimp, peeled & deveined
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • ½ cup chicken broth (or white wine for extra flavor)
  • ½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Salt & black pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp chopped parsley
  • Juice of ½ lemon

🍳 Instructions

  1. Cook pasta: Boil in salted water until al dente. Reserve ½ cup pasta water, then drain.
  2. Sear shrimp: Heat olive oil + 1 tbsp butter in a skillet. Season shrimp with salt & pepper, cook 2–3 minutes per side until pink. Remove and set aside.
  3. Make sauce: In the same skillet, melt remaining butter. Add garlic, sauté 1 minute. Stir in broth (or wine), simmer 2 minutes. Add cream, Parmesan, and red pepper flakes. Cook until slightly thickened.
  4. Combine: Toss pasta into sauce, adding reserved pasta water if needed. Return shrimp, squeeze lemon juice, and sprinkle parsley.
  5. Serve: Plate immediately with extra Parmesan on top.

🌟 Chef’s Tip

For extra depth, add a handful of spinach or sun-dried tomatoes when making the sauce.
